Background
The organization supports professional development and in particular has supported nurses to attain certification in their specialty. We pay for initial certification and the nursing directors budget for this in their annual education budgets. (See Exhibit SE3EO.1).

Unit Results- Birthing Center
The graph demonstrates that the Birthing Center met its goal of increasing the percentage of professional nursing certifications in year one by increasing from 48% to 50% and exceeded its goal in year 2 by increasing from 50-64%.
